  • Craft a compelling profile with a clear and catchy business name, a profile picture, and a keyword-rich bio that describes your niche.

  • Select a username that reflects your brand or niche and includes relevant keywords. This will help your profile appear in search results.

  • Write a clear and concise bio that describes your niche and includes relevant keywords. This helps Pinterest understand what your profile is about.

  • Claiming your website with Pinterest not only adds credibility but also allows you to track the performance of pins from your site.

Create Eye-Catching Pins:

  • Design visually stunning and informative pins for your printable products. Use Canva or other design tools to create custom pins for your products and blog content.

  • Rich Pins provides additional information like product prices, recipe ingredients, and article descriptions. Using them can enhance the value of your pins.

  • Pinterest recommends using a 2:3 aspect ratio for pins (e.g., 1000x1500 pixels). Taller pins tend to perform better and are more likely to catch users' attention.

  • I always recommend creating several different designs for the same product so you can have multiple pins to promote the product.

  • Craft attention-grabbing titles and descriptions that clearly convey the value of your printable products. Use persuasive language and include relevant keywords.

  • Include a clear and concise call to action in your pin description, urging users to click through to your Shopify store. Phrases like "Shop Now," "Get Started," or "Discover More" can be effective.

  • Showcase the benefits of your printables in the pin description. Explain how they can solve a problem or make the user's life easier.

  • Whenever possible, feature your printable products in use. For example, if you're selling planners, show an image of someone using the planner to set goals or stay organized.

 
 

Within a week of pinning this image, it already had over 5k impressions and 75 clicks to my site. I offer this as a free download in my printables shop.

Leverage Pinterest SEO:

  • Optimize your pin descriptions and boards with relevant keywords to increase your visibility in Pinterest's search results.

  • When naming your boards, use descriptive and keyword-rich titles. This will make your boards more discoverable when users search for related topics.

  • Write informative board descriptions that include keywords and provide context about the content you'll be pinning to each board.

Always take the time to research what pins are doing well on Pinterest and put your own unique spin on it for your shop printables.

Here are a few catchy pin title examples:

Right now, my strategy is to drive traffic to both my blog and my printables shop from Pinterest. The best way I have seen the traffic convert from Pinterest into sales is by giving people value in my blog content and then providing them with a link to purchase a printable I have as the next step.

When you use Pinterest you are essentially taking them on a journey to help solve a problem. You aren’t just saying “hey, buy this!”

You are making them aware of the problem, nurturing them with your content, and then giving them the solution with your offer.

Why Consistency is Important on Pinterest

Pinterest's algorithm rewards consistent pinners. When you regularly share pins, Pinterest recognizes your commitment to the platform and is more likely to show your content to a wider audience.

Consistent pinning generates a steady flow of traffic to your website or online store. It ensures that your products or content are regularly exposed to potential customers.

This doesn’t mean you have to spam the platform with 30 pins a day. Choose a schedule that works for you. I personally like to spend a little bit of time creating all my pins in Canva and then scheduling them directly on Pinterest. I don’t use any third-party scheduling service.

To maintain consistency on Pinterest:

  • Create a content calendar to plan your pins in advance.

  • Use scheduling tools to automate your pinning schedule.

  • Stay organized by categorizing boards and pins.

  • Set achievable pinning goals based on your resources and time.

Consistency doesn't mean flooding Pinterest with pins all day; it's about maintaining a steady and manageable posting schedule that aligns with your brand's goals and your audience's preferences.
